Elegant Mini-books

I love the way the Cricut Artbooking cartridge can be used to make mini-books! These look fantastic and are so easy to put together. The possibilities are endless. I’m going to incorporate one onto a scrapbook page in my 12×12 album, kind of like a mini-book to flip through as part of a page…. Check back on this blog to see how it turns out!

In the meantime, enjoy this video on mini-booking…..

Sparkle and Shine!

December’s Scrapbooking workshop features the new Sparkle and Shine papers, in silver, ruby and juniper, with lots of sparkles!  They make gorgeous Christmas pages:

First 2 layouts inspired by Lynn Como’s layouts
Aren’t they gorgeous! I’ve added enough extra paper to make 5 full layouts and the embellishments that go with these pages are awesome:  die cuts, sparkle flourishes, rosettes, sparkle tape, washi tape and banners along with the chipboard complements.

If you’d like to join us in making these pages, register now for  December’s Scrapbooking Workshop.  The Sparkle and Shine paper pack, extra pages, complements, die cuts, flourishes, sparkle tape, washi tape, banners and rosettes are all provided.

Polar Bears and Penguins, Oh my!

This month’s card making workshop feature two of the cutest stamp sets in the Fall/Winter catalog: the Wintry Wishes penguin set and the Polar Bear Holiday stamp set. I had so much fun with these cards!

These cute little penguin cards are based on a design by fellow consultant: Vicki Wizniuk. Her stuff’s awesome. Check out her website at WizardsHangout.com…. (The seam binding ribbon used above is on CTMH’s retire list at the end of January. I’m sorry to see it go. It’s really handy as it can be dyed to match any color on your card.)

Love the silver and red sparkle tape on these two cards….

This little penguin above black sparkle tape punched out with a dripping goo punch…  I used the silver holiday washi tape on top of sky card stock to create the shiny background behind the black sparkle tape. It’s hard to see in a photograph, but looks really neat in person.

Love me some polka dots!

We’ll make two each of the six cards shown above.

We’ll meet on Thursday morning, December 12th, for some tea and coffee, cake and cookies and fellowship while we enjoy creating these beautiful cards. For those that can’t make it on a weekday, I’ll repeat the class the following weekend.
